Sheyenne Riverways, Inc. Is a non-profit organization established in 2006 to restore, preserve, and improve the quality of the Sheyenne River for future generations.
SHEYENNE RIVERWAYS

The goal of the organization is to promote awareness of the important values of the Sheyenne River valley, working with other water resource organizations toward a balance of benefits for its citizens, agriculture, wildlife and fisheries, economic development, historical and cultural resources, and to work toward an ample supply of potable water.

Networking with the Barnes County Water Board, NRCS, Barnes County Water Management Team, Spirit Lake Nation, Legislators, Devils Lake, Barnes County Wildlife Federation, and others on related water issues. Seeking factual information of projects involving or impacting the Sheyenne River. Attending whenever possible, area meetings dealing with water including but not limited to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, EPA, State Water Commission, Joint Water Resource Boards, County water boards, International Red River Board and the Red River Basin Commission, and to visit with State and National officials to inform them of the history and facts of the Sheyenne River watershed issues.
